This song is titled "Where I'm From" by the Grammy Award winning group Digable Planets. They brought a unique sound to hip hop by fusing jazz with hip hop. The group had 3 members Ladybug Mecca, Butterfly, and Doodlebug. This song in particular was released off their 1993 debut album titled Reachin' (A New Refutation of Time and Space).
