This weeks throwback joint is "Off The Books" by The Beatnuts. The Beatnuts are currently a Duo from Queens,NY. They are the only Latino members of The Native Tongues. The members are JuJu who is Dominican and Phsyco Les whom is Colombian. The Track also features The late great Puerto Rican rapper Big Pun. Pun helped establish a platform for the NewYoRican hip hop sound. It also features the great Cuban lyricist, Cuban Link. This throwback joint showed the unity of the Latin community in Hip Hop, and proved to the world hip hop had no limits or boundaries and hopefully we can get more groups like this.
