Beaches , sun, Everglades , are what come to mind when you ask someone about South Florida, and if you were to ask them about our music, bass music would probably be their first thought. We found a young MC who brings lyricism and versatile flows to the Fort Lauderdale hip hop scene. Joshua Rivas who goes by the name JR inked his first recording deal last year and will be taking the SoFlo scene by storm so we thought we'd give you a preview of what will be invading the streets. JR's strength lies in raw lyricism and his ability to appear on all different types of beats. Tupac & James Brown meet on Django Unchained Soundtrack

The film itself is a remake of the 1960's spaghetti-western Django blends a western with a slave film with a romantic drama. To not spoil the film an epic scene where Django who is played by Jamie Foxx finds his back up against the wall is aided by the adrenaline in the unique blend of the two late artists , Tupac and James Brown. The actual part that plays in the movie begins 1:10 minutes into the video below. We definitely recommend you go see this film and purchase the soundtrack!
